THE ARTIST
Born in Montreal in 1929. After studying visual arts, she left Quebec for Paris in 1950. A decade later, when she returned to her native land, she began her first exhibitions. Her style, unique and associated with no particular movement, is recognized by its vibrant colors, dynamic, sometimes even brutal but still alive.
Recognized by the Prix des Affaires culturelles du Québec and the Canada Council for the Arts, we can find his work in the collection of the Musée des Beaux-Arts du Québec and the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal.
Era of Famous French Painters
Representing Impressionism, there were the best known French painterswhose paintings enormously influenced the history of art and set a basis for the contemporary art practices as well as new standards in painting as art media. Figures of Édouard Manet, Claude Monet, August Renoir, Edgar Degas and Camille Pissarro marked the Impressionism as an art movement and set a new paradigm in painting.
